I'm not having an problems with Acana, and the kibble doesn't look any different to me. But just because mine don't have a problem with it, that doesn't mean that yours will be OK on it too. It's a very individual thing.

However, you say he "is still pretty itchy." How long ago did you switch? It can take up to a month for the ingredient(s) that cause the allergy to completely leave their system. And, according to my vet, most allergies in dogs are not from food ingredients, they are environmental, like pollen.

I would go to a dermatologist / allergist to see if they can nail down what is causing the reaction, so that you can stop guessing on the food, since it might not be food related at all.
