I love okra!!! I love it fried and I cut it up and soak in sweet or buttermilk. Put flour,salt and a dab of cornmeal in a gallon ziplock container add a few potatoes cubed and some onion and the okra shake it up really good and then fry it in my electric skillet..yum yum yum. I am not sure the variety of okra but there is one that has red on the okra pod that is really better than the okra that is a solid green color.
I also loved pickled okra...do not like it boiled. I prefer it crunch
