Definite YUCK! Sorry!
I had just moved from Ohio to South Carolina, and it was being served at my elementary school cafeteria. I didn't know what the heck it was, and everyone made fun of me for being afraid to try it. They were all eating it like popcorn. I tried it...bleh. I remember feeling so alone, with my Northernness and not fitting in with the kids who all grew up on sweet tea, greens and okra, and she-crab soup. I had never tasted any of those things.
Haven't tried okra once since then but I refuse to accept my tastes probably have changed
I just don't like any southern food.
