I was using belly bands on Bentley when we first got him (he was 5 months old and not trained) I would also use them at night because he was having accidents in his crate. Back in March he got a HORRIBLE UTI...had crystals in his urine...poor thing was in so much pain..he was acting as if he was having seizures...The vet thought it was liver shunt.THANK GOD it wasn't! When I asked the vet what she thought caused this she told me it was very possible that bacteria from the pad (inside band) could have caused this.No more belly bands for our little man.
