I'm glad you didn't get the puppy there. Chances are it would have numerous expensive medical problems anyway, and the last thing you need is the heartache of a sick or possibly dead puppy. Too many of pups from places like that are sick from the poor conditions and lack of vet care for anyone.
Have you checked the
Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website? They have a breeder page, and then they are listed by state. You stand a better chance of getting a healthy puppy this way, and usually the pups are not much more expensive than a pet store sick puppy.
