. At one time we had 4 outside dogs, one cat, and 2 inside dogs. I think as long as you are caring for them and providing what they need, it is your decision and no one else's. And don't let them say big dogs and small dogs don't work. I had a Great Pyranees and he was awesome with my Yorkies. So I say if you want a lab get one! Btw, our former neighbor had a black lab. I totally LOVED her!
