She is cute, but since you know very little about her and know that vet expenses are right around the corner I don't think she is worth $475.00 Rescue groups charge about that for a dog, but you get more for your money, because they usually have had them for a while so they can tell you a bit about the dogs temperament, and most importantly they have them vet checked and most of the time are spayed and are up to date on their shots. This expense will all be on you.
Since you have another dog if you bring her right home you take the chance of exposing Bri to who knows what. If it's not to late take a breath see if you could talk with her vet and get some records and perhaps go to her vet yourself before paying any money and bringing her into your home.
If you already have the puppy, then I wish you all the best. |
We decided not to get her. I had the same feeling you would, something just didn't feel right. She would only go down to $400 and I just couldn't put that much into a dog that I didn't know much about. Honestly she talked like she is so behind in payments that she just needed money fast. It broke my heart, but from what I could gather, she adopted this yorkie as a friend for her other yorkie. She paid $700 for her in SC and was told she was pregnant. There was no way I could get in contact with the lady from SC to verify what she was bred with. We could more than afford the medical bills if something were to go wrong, but I just didn't feel at ease. I hope and pray this baby goes to someone who can support her. I really wish I wouldn't have still had doubts.
Thanks for all the advice! This site has been a blessing!!
