This is very helpful info. The vet tech who did the "check out" when we took P-Nut home said he should not put any weight on the operated leg for 3-4 days, so I got worried when P tried to do just that. They also said his activity will have to be limited for 6 weeks - that means mostly staying in his pen and taking only short walks to go potty. That sounds like a long time to be "penned" (we have a large-ish "playpen" for him, it's not a small crate, rather, it's about 6' x 4' or something close to that, but still)- I'm going to ask the vet about it, shouldn't he be able to get more exercise than that? We don't plan to keep him locked up, that's for sure. He's already been on our laps and on the bed with us, lying down, carefully watched. Now he's resting and listening to meditation music (I AM from California, you know)
