An animal could have taken the bones from someone's garbage or it could be the remains of a dead animal that an animal dug up. It sounds to me like animals are getting into someone's garbage and dragging it around.
Some people do put corn cobs out to feed birds and squirrels but it is more likely garbage. People should not leave garbage outside in bags but many do.
I always have to check out our backyard before Gracie is allowed in it. Cats tend to leave things out there at night. Gracie will put any new object in her mouth so I have to be two steps ahead of her all the time. |
