Breeders that sell sick puppies always have a contract that is made to protect them and not the buyer. This is why many on this forum are constantly trying to warn people that there are many bad breeders out there. If your state has a lemon law then they have been dealing with this issue for a while. I hope you are able to recoup some of your expenses.
For people looking to buy a puppy: Don't sign a contract that says you have to return the puppy if it is sick! Check out the breeder and their reputation as well as the vet they deal with. Don't support people who do not take proper care of their animals. |
