For long peroids of aloneness I'd not use a crate but a play pen with a play area, rest (bed) area, food water area and a potty (accident or not) area with a potty pad.
Being confined in a crate they are required to sleep in at night is one thing-during the day for longer periods is nonfunctional.
I bought a large dog crate (mine are climbers) the open cage kind with three door and have three of them put together so each of my dogs has their own area. |
