Thank you all for your sentiments. Especially the one about the "heart dog". That is what she was. An even though she was from BYB, we sure made that soul connection.

I can remember many an evening, sitting there with her on my stomach and her little head laying on my chest. When I hold her close to me, and she knew I wanted to give her a hug, she'd but her head on my chest. What a wonderful, loving dog she was.

Thank you all so much, and I will take your advice. I just recently got an email from a woman in Indiana, who i think is very legitimate, and was given my name by a breeder who was very nice and didn't have any Yorkies available right now. It is supposed to be a former show dog, it is a male however, and is 3 years old. It actually sounds exactly like what I'm looking for (except that it is a male), if I were not to get a puppy, as my father wants a new Yorkie, but he's not excited about potty training another dog.

But, i will be careful, and not be taken in. But, the picture she sent to me, he is beautiful...and it doesn't look like a staged breeder's picture like some scammers use.

I know that I'm going to have to pay between $500 and $1000 for a Yorkie of good quality, and I'm willing to do that...probably nearer a $1000, and that is ok. But, I'd like to see the animal, and hold the animal, like some of you said, and see if I can make that "heart connection" again. I don't expect to replace my baby girl. But, if I can just find a dog that loves me half as much as she did, I will be the most excited guy on the planet!

By the way, she wants to sell a couple of dogs, because she shows dogs, and her husband simply says she has too many. But, he is a cutie!

I have a dollar amount in mind, that I would pay for a "used" Yorkie of this type, and will not go over that. I would meet her halfway between where we each live to see the Yorkie, and then possibly adopt/purchase it.

Yorkies really are special, aren't they! My Maltese is handsome..but he is so different from my Yorkie, the difference is amazing! But, I love him too, and always will, and I'm sure I'll be sick when he leaves this world too. But, Maltese's live a long time, so he just might outlive me!!! If so, I'll will him to my nephew, as he is a dog lover and would take excellent care of any dogs I have.

Thanks to you all again - I'll let you know how the search goes!
