I almost started to cry as I read your post. I have had Gracie for 2 years now and I can't even imagine how lost I would be without her. I once owned a Maltese and they are adorable little dogs but the Yorkie personality is sure different.

Please be very careful in your search for a new Yorkie. Yorkies and other small dogs are very popular right now and there are many unscrupulous breeders out there preying on people like you looking for a puppy. A good Yorkie will probably cost you around $1200.00. Maybe a little less maybe a little more. But don't let the price fool you. There are many puppy mill breeders that will try to sell their pups for a thousand or more dollars. Check out the breeder very carefully. Get references that you know are real and speak to the vet they deal with. If they are unwilling to answer your questions properly run away. If they are willing to sell you a puppy with full registration - run away. Try to read in the library her at YT about buying a pup and learn about puppy mills and backyard breeders. There have been many new owners taken in by these people who have ended up with very sick puppies. Many times these pups end up not looking much like a Yorkie if they do survive. Do your research. Make sure you see both parents. If you have doubts wait. I'm sure the right pup is out there for you some where. Best wishes on your search.
