My vet has another vet that comes in three times a week and we have seen her a few times and I really like her as well as the regular vet we see. Well we saw her this last time we went in and when she called to check on Callie later in the week she suggested if Callie was still acting different to maybe have her thyroid tested. It was suggested to have her thyroid test last year about this time last year and one test showed that the level was not what it was supposed to be so they did more testing on it and that came back fine. Well looking at some of the symptoms I see Callie does have some of them like gaining some weight with out change in anything, getting cold very easily, sleeping a lot, and getting depressed like at times and they also said something about skin infections and Callie does have skin problems off and on. Is it possible there was a change in her thyroid in a year at that the numbers could be different if we test her thyroid again? I am really thinking it should be done again and am thinking when she goes in for her yearly stuff at the beginning of September that I will ask for it to be tested again. Opinions and info about the thyroid is welcome please.
