Charlie hates cooking too, he runs and hides in the other room and if the gate is up and he is stuck in the kitched/dining room he backs into the corner with his tail down and paces.... so strange. We have had him since he was a pup, and this has always been his reaction. He is two now, and for the past year or so we have been calling him closer to the kitchen, and rewarding him. It seems to be helping but he is still very cautious.
