Animal Smiley 036 Getting Outside Quickly

How does everyone get outside with their Yorkies quickly enough? I keep reading things like "as soon as they start to go in the house scoop them up and take them outside". That sounds like a fantasy.. Chloe doesn't wear a collar because we thought she might choke herself in her crate or her playpen while we aren't watching. When she goes outside we put a harness on her that slips over both front legs and snaps around her neck.. even if she is totally still it takes a minute or so to get the thing on, attach the leash and head outside... generally she isn't so still and it takes longer.

This all also assumes you can catch her... as soon as we see her going in the wrong spot and give her a sharp NO there isn't any catching her she can zoom around MUCH faster than us.

How do you other yorkie parents manage that? Maybe she should be wearing some kind of harness or collar all the time?
