My baby is extremely finicky with treats too. She won't eat Cheerios, green beans or much else. I finally figured out she will eat dried beef liver cut into real tiny pieces, but even then she sniffs them and doesn't act overly excited for her treats. I have found out her biggest motivator is playing with her squeaky toys. She has learned the names of each one and when I tell her to get said toy she will look until she finds that one. That is how I realized she was motivated in that way. So now every time I tell her to do something it isn't a simple treat, it is a 5 minute play with me and her squeaky toys. More time consuming but so worth it. |
