Just wanted to say thank you. Our page has 528 likes and I'm sure close to the same amount of emails that were sent to the prosecutor's office. Another animal advocate friend created a a petition and we collected over 3000 signatures. Probably could have gotten more, but we wanted to get the petition to the office. Will keep everyone posted as to the outcome. This is very heartbreaking because I know that Ruger is not the only one. Just this week two more were dumped in empty houses. One little Yorkie Chloe, was found in the empty house after being there for two weeks with no food and water. A rescue pulled her and she is adorable. The other Yorkie Nam, a separate incident wasn't so lucky. He was found in time, but died alone, in the middle of the night in his cage at the shelter. Stiffer laws need to be put in place with harsher punishment for those that commit these cruel acts. Please, lobby your legislator's for change. It's getting worse and worse and needs to come to an end. Thank you again. |
