I would rather a reconditioned machine that cost more when new and better quality. My daughter has a few new machines at girl scout camp( she works there in the summer) that are so cheaply made they are more frustrating to use than the older models. We have a local guy that sets up at one of the smaller fleamarkets that fixes and sells older machines at such reasonable prices!
