I went through this several years ago. We spent 4 days with IV fluids and vet care. The IV was managed during the day at my local vet and at the emergency vet clinic through the night. I am a RN and brought him home for one night and administered IV fluids and medication myself. He became unresponsive, flaccid and seized during med. admin.. It frightened me so much that I took him immediately back to the e-vet to continue treatment there. This is very serious!!!
I hope your fur baby makes a good recovery! My fella is going strong now, but still has times of gastric distress....He is my biggest, strongest and most hardy member of the five pack. The Vet told me that was the only thing that saved him!!
