 Elsy has pancreatitis
Elsy vomited blood several times this morning so I rushed her to the vet. She had a temp and after lab work was diagnosed with pancreatitis. My vet thinks I can manage her at home so he gave her some sub-q fluids, a shot for nausea, a med to coat her stomach, some flagyl and the same meds for home. She has been home for 7 hours and so far so good. She's feeling well enough that she is looking everywhere for some food but can't have anything until tomorrow if she does well tonight. He doesn't think it's due to her diet but to stress. I was in the hospital for 7 days 3 weeks ago and then had to go stay with my dad last weekend and she gets so stressed when I'm gone. Please say alittle prayer for her. |
