I did the same as aimee. I started out with a clip because he wouldn't stay still long enough to get a band in. At first he would only wear it a few minutes and would end up shaking it out. I would wait and try again the next day. It doesn't matter how good it looks just let him get used to the feel of it on his head. When I moved on to the bands, I would take them out after a few hours. Now Gus even puts his head down for me to put them in and he wears them all day. Just make sure the hair is not being pulled or he'll really hate it.
The clips could be a choking hazard so you have to watch he doesn't try to eat them. |
