I tried and tried and tried to do Sasha's nails on my own and sadly was never able to. She wouldn't sit still for me and would freak out for it as well. Plus, when she was a puppy, I did quick her once as her nails are black so it's hard to see the quicks anyways. I now take her to Petsmart at least every other week and have them grinded. She's much more calmer with them than she is me probably because she can sense my fear whenever I tried to do them. If we're at the vet and she's due to have a trim, I'll have the vet do them while I'm there. She doesn't particularly enjoy car rides so that does worry me as she begins to get older but like I said, I take her every other week since her quicks are so long and I'm beginning to notice her not freaking out as bad. |
