yes, the silky standard is 9-11 but I seen silkies in the rink at 12 pounds, my Chanel was 11 pounds until I got her spayed, now she is a healthy 12.5 pounds, so yes most people that know of silkies think that all silkies are 9+
my first check for a silky is the shape of the head and the set of the ears, then the lenght of the body against the height, and last the weight.. I can detect a silky from a mile away...LOL
