I am loving the training facility we are at. There are so many more classes we can advance too. They have alot of advanced manner classes and they also have Agility and Nosework. Last night I was Googling Agility online and it looks like SO much fun. I really would love to do that but I am not sure Taycie will..
So my goal is to continue with the rest of the basic/advanced manner classes which I think will keep us busy through the winter and hopefully by next spring/summer we can start Agility... I know just through basic training she is building her confidence so when we do reach that point that we can start Agility she will be a more confident dog. We will just have to see if it will be "HER" thing. I hope so because I think it looks like SO much fun!
So that is where we are headed!!!! |
I am soooo happy for you!! I just know how awesome and fun it is when you REALLY connect with your dog in ways you never imagined. Training IS so much fun. And I bet you Taycie would excel in agility if you keep working with her. She's certainly got the drive and will to learn.

The reason I teach Jackson so many tricks is not just for show, it's the incredible bond & trust that is formed while learning them.

Zak George is my fav, I love his training philosophies, as I've always trained Jackson the way he does... I get down on his level, I 'talk' to him, I let him know what we're going to do, I encourage him to try new things, and get really excited when he does them. It's amazing to see what a dog can do when treated like an equal, and not just mindlessly obeying your orders because "You say so" or "I am the pack leader/alpha dog".
I'm thrilled to see you and Taycie so excited!
