I have nothing against the trick "play dead." I just can't stand any thoughts of my puppy actually being dead or hurt. Using a command like "play dead" or "bang bang" just makes me think about it too much. I will teach her the command "settle" though. It is great for veterinary procedures and grooming. "Settle" means I want the dog to trust me, and lay on its side and be still.
Of course Tibbe has more fun doing tricks than playing, because it makes you so proud!
