The vet didn't offer me prednisone, but I actually have some. I try to keep it on hand because I used to have to give it sometimes to bring down fevers with colitis episodes. I was thinking about it....I suppose if my vet prescribed it for other things in the past, it would probably be safe to give.
There is not really much of a flea problem here, as far as I've heard, but it's probably possible. Didn't see anything on him, but I guess that doesn't nessessarily mean he wasn't bit.
