Is it possible that he was exposed to any cleaning products ? carpet fresh ? or has there been any food change ? was he fed any human food ? Has the lawn been treated for insects or fertilizer put down ? I am surprised the vet didn't offer Prednisone & I would call back & ask about it . And Yes it is possible to be fine one day & allergic the next. Also maybe he was bitten by something. Are there fleas where you are or have taken him ? All it takes is 1 flea bite to have a reaction.
