Well for those that happen to have the cash to throw around it would indeed be best to take her to an emergency vet, Unfortunately it is 300.00 to walk into an emergency clinic up here. SHe was taken to the vet initially and tentatively diagnosed with liver shunt, unfortunately he will not be back in office for a few days when I initially wrote this. He will be in office tmorrow so I will be contacting him.
As far as feeling bad if she didnt make it, of course I would feel bad, however since she was given -0- chance of survival initially, any day she has alive is 1 more day she wasnt supposed to have.
I simply wanted an accurate dose or formula to reach that dosage on my own. I have been doing rescue for the majority of my life and have always had to rely initially on myself and instincts until assistance can be received from a vet. I am not just going off half cocked. I have a working relationship with the local vets but not 1 will give this type of advice or assistance without the office visit and blood work, sorry, once again I dont happen to have a couple of hundred bucks to toss out at the moment. Normally I would have funds in my vetting account but since I just had to replace my vehicle it wiped me out.
Thanks anyways
