Yes, he did... that is what he said... I was soooo upset when he told me it was borderline bad, I couldn't remember what he said. Yes, he was concerned... not extremely overly but wanted him back for 2 more days for fluids and I just found out antibiotic injections as well. But he did not feel he needed to be hospitalized at that point. He gave him anti-nausea. He said he would have to be hospitalized if he kept throwing up even after the anti-nausea injections, which he did not. Thankfully. He said if he didn't throw up before early evening yesterday we could try to give him a tiny bit of Science Diet G/I soft canned food. We did that and he ate some but very little. Still a good sign. So this morning when he went out to the bathroom his stool had no blood and was somewhat formed, not just a bloody puddle like it was. So that was an even better sign. Now today they are telling me that hes doing wonderfully and he probably won't even need subQ fluids tomorrow at all if he keeps eating on his own and showing interest in food. Well the little bugger ate a 1/3 of a can at lunch time, practically inhaled it and was begging for more! I didn't give him more, but he'll get a 1/3 of a can tonight also.
This is almost like a flu or virus in a human except there was blood in his stool. Its 24-48 VERY SCARY hours... and then it passes like nothing happened. I'm the only one left shaking! LOL Hes just fine after that.
I'm so happy hes on the road to recovery now and I feel I can go away with a more comfortable peaceful feeling.
