I wasn't too sure about getting an ipad but my hubby surprised me with one for Xmas a few years ago and I LOVE IT!!! It's so small and convenient to slip in your purse, so easy to use with your fingers(no annoying mouse or scroll bar to deal with) and most imoprtantly the battery lasts forever (I think 10 hours) unlike my laptop that has to be charged after a couple hours. Don't know if you have kids but my 3 ang 5 year old have been using it ever since we got it and there's tons of educational aps for free. We ended up buying another one earlier this year so we don't all fight over the one. Definately worth buying!
