Dogs understand us in so many ways. This is partly because they come to know a large vocabulary of human words and commands.

One study showed over a three year period that a Border Collie learned 1,022 words. The researchers believed the dog could have learned more, but they had to end the study.

How many commands does your Yorkie know? How many total words do you think your Yorkie understands? I think their potential to learn vocabulary is infinite. What do you think?
