I am so sorry for your little girl, I bet in a few days she will be walking on her cast

I would not be so quick to invest in stairs though, just because a dog will climb up them does not mean they will walk back down them. I had stairs for Lola by our bed but it turned out to be a mistake, she is so full of energy that she started running up them and then back down them, then she started skipping over several of the steps on the way down to the point she would mostly jump off the bed because it was quicker than going down the steps. I finally took the stairs away because I was afraid she would hurt her self jumping down, so now that she can no longer get up on the bed,
she can no longer jump down. I realize that your little one can get up on the couch so using steps could go either way, she might walk down them, but she most likely will still jump at least half of the time.
