I think you should get her for sure...and I would look into a day care type thing while you are there...that way they are not caged all day and get to interactive and you still have some good quality time with your mom!! We are going to visit family and want to take the girl and have just been looking into putting them in day care during the day, that way we are still with them at night, but we can have some time with the family without the craziness of the girls!! Just a thought...
