to answer your questions, I am a silky terrier breeder,
My girls LOVE to sunbathe and is very good for them, lots of vitamin D. I let them do it they are smart and they don't burn like us humans do.LOL
I always provide a good shady spot in the deck too in case I am in the pool or in the garden.
the number of puppies is not a major issue as long as she has the room to carry them to term, I know a silky breeder which girl had 8 pups, my top number is 6. just keep up the good work, make sure she does not over eat but what she eats is nutricious, keep her off calcium until the puppies are born, calcium during pregancy can cause uterine inertia..
