I switched Toki over to an all life stages food when she was 6 or 7 months. Some people like to wait until 1 year or even longer and some people switch sooner. I just picked a high quality, grain-free kibble from a company that I liked that had a formula with higher protein/fat levels that you would find in most puppy formulas.
