Thank you for that post! And some wonder why show breeders, have left this board in the past? Nay not even the dreaded word "show breeders", but breeders of kind, wise, and impassionated hearts, who want to do the best by our breed, and put their money where their mouth is. With testing, with evaluating, with top notch care and socializing, vetting, et al.
I have paid over $5K for a breeding female. If YorkieMom1 has sold a breeding dog for that, who the heck cares? And BTW, you could say I bought my female on a "lay a way" plan, as I funnelled money to Russia over several months.
It saddens me that a regular contributor to this board, who has and freely shares much advice, is denigrated in this way.
Do I think it is reasonable to pay $5K for a top quality pet Yorkie. Actually not. But YorkieMom1 never said she sold pets for that price.
