They are both made my Champion Pet Foods. Orijen has a higher protein content than Acana (if you compare the Orijen Regional Red to Acana's Ranchlands, Orijen's protein content is 7% higher). Acana is cheaper than Orijen, has a simpler ingredients list, and is lower in protein (fine for dogs that are not very athletic or active). I wouldn't consider Orijen "better quality" than Acana, just maybe catered toward meeting different needs.

I personally have not used EVO although a lady in my apartment complex feeds her 11 m/o yorkie pup EVO and seems to like it just fine. EVO's formulas seem excessively high in protein and fat IMO. But I'd get a few different samples of the different dog foods you're interested and see what works for your pup and how she does on them!
