Ok I just wanna put out there, even though in CA it's "required" for all dogs over 4 months old to be vax for rabies, no one is enforcing it. My "breeder" who turned out to be a broker once I wised up, told me to get her rabies vax'd at 6 months. I didn't. It wasn't until about almost 2 yrs that I thought, Oh maybe I should do it. No one told me that all vets/clinics forward the rabies vax info to your local animal control. After you get the rabies vax you have to HAVE TO get the dog licensed. If you dog is intact, in CA it's $100 for the license! Altered is $40. Don't wanna pay? Non compliance fee is $175.

Not only that, the license tag you get in Orange county is a cheap aluminum tag with really sharp rough edges that I had to file down before I put it on Uni. It would have cut off her hair.

Other dogs that are bought out of state older than 4-6 months come with a rabies tag and don't have to register their dogs unless you give them the rabies shot again, but why would you?
