And I've seen the handlehold just slip out of hands. I like to see people walking big, powerful dogs with the hand, wrist slipped through the leash loop and wrapped around the wrist, then regripped. If I don't see that grip on a leash and a big dog on the other end, I usually go the other way. Even big guys get a regular leash ripped out of their hands when just holding it and they are not paying attention if their dog decides to take off.
