Made me want a big powerful dog again so bad!!! But I refuse to have a dog I can't lift alone in an emergency. And I could not get a 130 lb. dog up in my vehicle to save my life!!! I can barely get in it, let alone an unconscious dog weighing more than I do. |
I know that is a concern. When Zoey was sick, we already had a ramp for the car, and we jury rigged our pull cart, we stuck a big piece of plywood shaved down so it would fit through the sides of the van, and we already knew the pull carts wheels would go up the ramp. I guess with big dogs, especially more than one, we all have MiniVans, or large cars/SUV;s, some even have Sprinters. I'm pea green with envy for the Sprinter folks!
But still it is hard to maneuver a big dog who is unwell for sure.
