Default Molly was attacked by a bulldog

Last night about 5 I took Molly and Lily for a walk along the river in front of our holiday home. They were both on extendable leads. I turned to go back and Lily pulled back she stood on up on her back legs like meercat this is what she does when she can't reach something.. Suddenly she bolted towards and past me I turned to see where she had gone and so did Molly. All of a sudden this big white bull dog came charging out under next doors deck and grabbed Molly she rolled on top of her Molly was yelping like mad. The man who owns her ran over and threw himself on top of the dog and rolled her over letting me grab Molly. The dog still had a hold of her leg. Poor wee Molly was howling , when she calmed down I tried to put her down but she was shaking and couldnt put her right back leg down. the woman can over and apologised. She said her dog had done this before but doesn't bite. I checked Molly's leg she had bite marks on her thigh and groin and her fur was wet. I was shaking and wanted to get here home. She was very shaky and quiet I phoned the local vet who said if she wasn't bleeding it wasn't an emergency and to bring her in at 9 in the morning, she gave me an emergency number in case she got worse. After a few hoursnI fed her and she ate but still couldn't put her leg down. She kept falling asleep. She is much better today she is using her 4 legs and I put mushers cream on the bite marks a few times they have now almost gone. The skin was not punctured. She is still a bit quiet which is unlike her and she jumps a the slightest noise. I hope this doesn't change her outgoing personality and she will forget in time. lily who saw all this has been guarding Molly she barks and jumps up at every noise imagined or otherwise . She stays close to Molly all the time and keeps looking at her and smelling her. They're a bit more relaxed tonight so keeping my fingers. Crossed.. I was a wreck last night and couldn't stop crying, I kept replaying it over in my head to wonder if there was anything I could have. Done. The owners have assured me the dog will never be out without a lead again, they also offered to pay for anything Molly needed at the vet, in the end I didn't take her to the vet she has no physical injuries and was eating drinking peeing and pooping.
