Kristy, when I went away in November, I called my mom almost every day!! Granted my mom and I are really close, but I had to call to make sure Olivia was okay. (The woman raised me- you'd think I'd have a little faith in her!) If I'm going to be completely honest, I was fighting back tears when I left her to go to the airport. However, being away from her wasn't as bad as the cold shoulder she gave me when I got home! It broke my heart! (Granted, I was away for 12 days, so I would probably be mad if I were her!) Since Stewie is familiar with your mom and her house, I'm sure he'll be fine! Maybe sleep with a blanket and bring that with him so he has your scent. Just keep telling yourself that he'll be fine because he will! I think it's going to be a lot harder on you than it will for him. Olivia is so much closer with my mom since staying with her. Before, she would stick to me like glue when we were over there. Now, she actually begs to sit on my mom's lap if I'm busy. Have a great time and don't worry about your little man- he'll be fine!
