The active ingredients in Sentinel are milbemycin oxime plus lufenuron for fleas...Trifexis uses the same milbemycin but uses a different flea med., Spinosad. If your baby tolerated Sentinel, check with your vet about what he thinks about switching to Trifexis. I now give all my dogs Canimax....I get it from Australia and it is given every six weeks, by mouth. Vets fly all up in the air about shipping meds in from overseas, but it works perfectly fine for me. My dogs are doing fabulously on it....no untoward effects and no heartworms or intestinal parasites, including tapeworms. It does NOT address fleas. All my puppies are started on Revolution puppy to go to their new homes.
