It has concerned me for quite a while when I go into a pet store or department store and walk through the treat isle. So many of these treats look like glazed plastic and when you read the ingredient list you realize that these treats are not from the food group they are supposed to represent.
Another problem is that not all these treats identify exactly where they were manufactured. The pet food industry is self regulating so they really do not have to follow any particular rules about labeling.
I make most of Gracie's treats and buy only one ingredient organic treats. |
