I always take her collar off while she is in her crate. For safety reasons of course but also because wearing a collar all the time can't be comfortable
Maybe a Petmate or Pet Taxi might be something to look into because it is more enclosed. I use baby blankets for Taycie and she loves them and they are super cute.
