Did you read ALL the descriptions, several are tone driven and the one for lap dogs is. But for those that are it is hard to tell since the descriptions are words like "correction signals", different levels of stimulation" I did not see one of the collars described as a shock collar, very smart of the OP to ask, better safe than sorry.
