Independent laboratories rate TOTW better than all of the above food two of which are high allergen containing (in the grocery store varieties-which I thought were the same as the ones sold at the vet didn't realize they were rx if they are).
My last two vets sold those also but the vets endorced TOTW and Evo so I had my dogs on those previous to going raw, well the newest vet we have like the refrigerator fresh non-preservative foods and does advocate for raw as well. |
No, prescription foods by those companies are well researched and tested. They meet the needs of pups with different conditions...such as renal disease. I have had a couple of pups over the years on Purina NF and it has definitely helped them to live longer. When you feed that food and follow up with labs, unless a pup is just so far gone that it is over, their numbers on their BUN and Creatinine will improve greatly. Just one example.
