I want to thank all of you for your sympathy and support when our beloved little 13 y.o. Axel died last February. Our home has been so quiet and we still call out that "Daddy's home!" when the garage door goes up- but Axel isn't there. My daughter has pushed me to get another dog, but I have been so heartbroken, I could not even think of it. Well, circumstances have led me to a little 2 year old who was discarded and now in a rescue foster home. I remember all the respionses from many of you about how Axel "would not want my arms to be empty very long" and that he would want us to give another doggy brother our love too. So, we are adopting this little guy on Saturday! We are so excited, yet emotional to. I am looking forward to sharing about our new boy- not sure if we will keep his name and learning how to keep him happy and healthy from all of you! Axel's paw prints will be on my heart forever.
