I'm new to YorkieTalk and want to introduce myself and my Yorkie.
I grew up with two Yorkies, a male (Salty) and female (Penny). I was particularly fond of the Salty and frequently referred to him as "little brother." He was my constant companion and always my friend. Sadly, he passed away about two years ago of a sudden and unknown cause. He was perfectly healthy, despite being about 12 years old. I still miss him very much. My parents still have Penny, who I think is 10 years old. She is a sweetheart and goof-ball that keeps us entertained.
I now live with my fiance and we recently got our first dog, a female Yorkie who we've named Mishka. Her name is Russian and it means "funny little bear." She is 10 weeks and 3 days old today. We've experienced some unexpected health issues since we got her, but we love her and she's a really good girl. She is blind in her right eye and has dry eye in that eye. I posted about this in the Health Issues forum.
